Hello everyone!

My name is Vicky. I am first and foremost a single mother of two young men, Jeremy and Dale, who are my life! My life holds many roles but being a mother I feel is the most important however it doesn’t define me.

In the past, I have done volunteering with a non-profit which has led to my current full-time position as an Executive Director for the BC Air Cadet League. As well, I volunteer with Cares Counselling Society as a Director.

In my spare time I love to do cross-stitch, crocheting, watch Toronto Blue Jays’ games, and spending time with friends and family.

In my spare, spare time (which sometimes there is not a lot to spare!), I have developed a passion for family history and have delved into ancestry research. I do not claim to be a professional, more of a hobbyist. I know there are others in my family that are interested as well, so I figured it was better to share with many rather than a few.

Recently, starting January 2025, I have begun the journey to becoming a Certified Genealogist and Personal Historian. I’m hoping to complete this in the next couple of years and am already learning a ton that I can’t wait to put to use!
